USE* Presentation Skills Training for 2009

27/11/2009

Ten USE* delegates completed USE* 2009 Effective Presentation Skills training course this week.

The USE* Effective Presentation training aims to help USE* personnel develop skills and confidence in putting together and delivering great presentations. As such, it takes a practical and interactive approach.

This year each candidate was asked to join the course with a pre-prepared five to six minute presentation. The first task was to deliver this presentation to the group, allowing the trainer and the group to quickly understand each attendee’s presentation style.

From here, the course was a mixture of advice and practical exercises covering presentation style and structure. The training culminated with each candidate presenting his or her presentation for a second time, only this time with the benefit of the lessons learned over the duration. Subjects presented were varied, and ranged from step-by-step walk-throughs for every day professional tasks, to a glimpse into the occult world of brewing real ale.

The format and style of this training is a reiteration of the USE* commitment to developing our team of personnel on a multi-skilled and professionally rounded basis.
