Digital Serviceability Strategy pays Dividends

USE* Automotive Design for Service (SERP) support for one automotive OEM has delivered an estimated warranty avoidance saving of US$23 million in 2008.


From January-December 2008, USE* SERP engineers working with the client attended over 130 package meetings and over 100 digital serviceability meetings to provide specialist input into developing vehicle designs. During this time they also delivered 981 serviceability studies, 101 assessments to consider the application of existing service tools to new vehicle designs, and over 1,500 service related package checks and feasibility assessments in total.
